Remote Truss Designer

Are you an experienced Truss Designer looking for a long-term opportunity with a collaborative team and the flexibility to work from home? We're looking for a designer who is passionate about quality, enjoys solving complex design challenges, and wants to be part of a growing team.

What You'll Do:

• Design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek Software Suite
• Review blueprints, sketches, and engineering documents
• Create truss layouts and production-ready component documents
• Modify designs based on customer needs and building plan revisions
• Ensure designs meet applicable building codes and industry standards
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, architects, and customers
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of truss design experience
• Strong proficiency with MiTek Software Suite
• Knowledge of ASCE 7 and TPI building standards
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• CAD/BIM experience is a plus
• SBCA Truss Technician Level 1 certification is preferred but not required
