Locum - Physician - Surgery - Neuroendovascular

**Coverage Details:**

- **Dates of Coverage:** 1 week per month (7 on, 7 off).

- **Schedule:** 24-hour shifts (7A-7P) for neuroendovascular coverage, including 24/7 response to emergency department (ED) stroke alerts.

- **Call Coverage:** Yes, with a dual 12-hour in-house and beeper coverage depending on operational needs.

- **Call Ratio:** 7 consecutive days while on service.

- **Average Call Back Hours:** Not applicable.

- **Number of Providers Needed:** Targeting 2-3 additional providers to fill coverage gaps.

- **Reason for Coverage:** To address provider shortages.

- **Practice Setting:** Inpatient/Hospital-Based.

**Patient Demographics:** - **Population:** Adult and geriatric patients.

- **Care Setting Distribution:** 100% inpatient.

- **Average Patient Load:** 10-12 patients on the inpatient roster, with additional admissions from call and interventional radiology as required.

- **Trauma Level of Facility:** Level 1.

**Clinical Responsibilities:** - Ability to deliver 24/7 neuroendovascular call services.

- Availability for 24/7 ED stroke call. - Proficiency in performing thrombectomy and other relevant neuroendovascular procedures as clinically indicated.

**Documentation System:** Epic EMR.

**Additional Considerations:** - The market includes two primary stroke centers and a thrombectomy-capable center with substantial volume.

**Mandatory Job Requirements:** - Board Certification in Interventional Neurology (Essential).

- Active Ohio Medical License (Essential). - BLS and ACLS Certification (Essential).

- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience (Essential).

- Unblemished professional background with no malpractice or licensing issues (Essential).

**Certification Requirements:**

- BLS - ACLS - Board Certification

**Licensure Requirements:** - Must hold an active medical license in Ohio.
