Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF population
• Perform skilled nursing interventions including remote tele monitoring, chest tube management, NG/PEG tube care, straight cath/Foley insertion, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC (checkoff class required upon start)
• Float within skillset to alternate campuses as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus floats; mid-shift float within the same campus is also possible
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
• May be required to precept students and new hires in this teaching facility environment

Required Qualifications

• Active, current Compact RN License
• AHA BLS Certification (must be current)
• NIHSS Certification (must be current)
• Minimum 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage high-acuity Med-Surg patients
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring
• Demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-oriented, social unit culture with CNA support
