Salary Range The full pay range for this role is $23.00 to $43.00 per hour, with a good‑faith estimated starting pay of $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. Scope of Job Seeking dedicated and talented individuals for roles ranging from entry‑level Technician 1 to expert Technician 5 to perform maintenance, repair, and operational activities on utility‑scale renewable energy assets, including wind turbines, photovoltaic (PV) power systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Candidates will be placed at the level commensurate with their experience, qualifications, and successful completion of internal competency standards. Required Training Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend a mandatory 3–4 week training and certification course at the start of employment, located in Albert Lea, MN. Travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided. Location This position is onsite at our King Creek 1 and 2 sites in Throckmorton, Texas. Responsibilities Technician 1 – Entry Level Assisting experienced technicians with maintenance and repairs; learning safety protocols. Works under direct supervision and specific direction. Technician 2 – Experienced Independent preventative maintenance; routine troubleshooting and minor upgrades. High independence on PMs; participates in the 24‑hour “On Call” rotation. Technician 3 – Senior Advanced troubleshooting and unsupervised corrective maintenance. Unsupervised execution of all corrective/preventative maintenance; trains and oversees Tech 1 & 2. Shared Responsibilities (All Levels) Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO procedures, and lead site safety assessments. Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly. Accurately complete all administrative work, including daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation. Attend all required safety and technical training. Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies. Technician levels 2–5 participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification. Fiscal Responsibilities All levels must be fiscally responsible on the company's behalf. Qualifications Experience Tech 1: 0–1 year in renewable energy or equivalent. Tech 2: 1–2 years in renewable energy or similar. Tech 3: 2+ years of renewable energy experience. Education High school diploma or equivalent (all levels). Knowledge & Skills Basic computer skills and ability to follow instructions. Knowledge of schematics, multimeters, electrical/mechanical components. Deep competency in generation theory, arc‑flash standards, NEC, and diagnostics. Certifications Complete required training upon hire. Meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards (Tech 1); or qualify for those plus system software & industry competency (Tech 2, 3). Other Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Field work: Primarily in the renewable asset field for Techs 1–3; up to ~20% office for Tech 4. Work at height: Climb ladders, stairs and structures to heights over 300 feet (91 meters) in confined spaces. Conditions: Comfortable working in extreme weather (heat, cold, wind, rain) and high‑voltage electrical–mechanical environment. Lifting: Regularly lift up to 35 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds.
