Job description: Job Requisition: AP Manager Position Details Title : Accounts Payable Manager Department : Accounting Reports To : Director of Accounting FLSA Status : Exempt Position Type : Full-Time Location : Corporate Headquarters Baltimore, MD/ Hybrid Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate accounts payable staff. Process Oversight: Oversee accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices. Payment Management: Standardize check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments. Month-End Closing: Review ledger accounts and execute month-end AP closing. Vendor Relations: Resolve complex billing disputes and maintain vendor relationships. Tax Compliance: Formulate and file annual 1099 statements accurately. Audit Support: Prepare documentation and schedules for internal/external audits. System Optimization: Identify and implement automated workflows for invoice processing. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Experience: Minimum 5 years in AP, with 2+ years supervising a team. Tech Skills: Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Bill Capture). Software: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX compliance).
