Showroom Manager

Role Type: Showroom sales and showroom leadership, selling to homeowners and the design trade Schedule: Full time, on site, with weekend availability required Compensation: $75K to $90K OTE. Base salary starting at $60K plus commission About Interlude Home Interlude Home is a fashion-inspired luxury furniture brand. We design and produce upholstery in our own Virginia factory, COM specialists known for curved sectionals, custom beds, and statement seating, alongside imported collections spanning bedroom, dining, living, and decor. We sell through interior designers, retail trade partners, dealers, and wholesale accounts, with showrooms in New York, Miami, Stamford, and High Point. Stamford is our outlet location, where homeowners and designers buy directly from the floor. We are growing, and the showroom is one of the places that growth shows up first. Your Role You will run the Stamford showroom. You are the top salesperson on the floor and the person responsible for how the floor looks, runs, and performs. Homeowners walk in looking for a piece that fits their home. Interior designers walk in looking for a partner on a client project. You sell to both, often in the same afternoon. Because we manufacture our own upholstery in Virginia, you are not limited to what is on the floor. You will sell imported collections from inventory and made-to-order upholstery from the factory. You will also own the operating side of the showroom: merchandising, inventory, client payments, and customer service. You will work with leadership to set annual showroom revenue goals broken into monthly targets, with weekly KPIs behind them. You track clients and follow-ups in HubSpot CRM. We provide product training, the factory behind you, and the tools to succeed. The showroom is yours to run. What You Will Be Doing Selling Own the sales floor. Greet, qualify, and close with walk-in retail clients and interior designers Build a book of trade relationships out of Stamford and turn one-time visits into repeat business Guide clients between in-stock collections and made-to-order upholstery, and see custom orders through Use HubSpot to log activity, track follow-ups, and keep every client touchpoint visible Running the Showroom Keep the showroom merchandised to company visual standards every day Manage inventory and reconcile client payments so orders and paperwork stay clean and current Monitor showroom KPIs and report on traffic, conversion, sales, and pipeline weekly Balance selling with managing. The showroom hits its goals because you are on the floor Product and Service Learn the product deeply, keep that knowledge current, and share it with clients and the team Own customer service for showroom clients and coordinate with the factory to keep orders on track Host designer events and trade visits, and make Stamford a destination for the local design community What Success Looks Like In the first 90 days, you know the product, the floor is merchandised to standard, inventory and payments are accurate, and you know who your local designers and repeat clients are By month six, the showroom is hitting its monthly targets and your HubSpot pipeline shows both retail follow-ups and a growing set of trade relationships You hit your weekly KPIs consistently and your HubSpot activity tells the story without anyone asking Showroom revenue is growing, and made-to-order upholstery is a growing share of what you sell Designers in the area think of the Stamford showroom first when a client project calls for what we make What We Are Looking For At least 3 years of sales experience in luxury furniture or home furnishings, ideally in a trade showroom A track record of hitting sales goals in a showroom or retail setting and growing trade relationships Comfort selling to both the homeowner and the interior designer, and the judgment to adjust for each Experience with showroom operations: merchandising, inventory, payments, and order management HubSpot or comparable CRM experience as a daily working tool, plus fluency with MS Office Strong organizational skills and the follow-through to keep the showroom and its clients in order A genuine appreciation for interior design.
