Details\n \n Interventional Radiology unit within a Level I trauma teaching hospital \n 13-week contract assignment \n Choice of 4x10-hour day shifts (7:30 AM-6:00 PM) or 5x8-hour day shifts (7:30 AM-4:00 PM), schedule to be discussed during interview \n One weekday call shift per week and one weekend call shift every 2 months \n Reserved parking spot available for on-call shifts \n Must float within scope of practice as needed \n Uses Epic EMR \n Equipment includes Siemens imaging systems and PACS \n Requirements\n \n Minimum 2 years of comprehensive Interventional Radiology experience required (more may be required if experience is not comprehensive) \n ARRT-R certification required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred \n BLS certification required \n VA state license required if applicable, though pending licenses accepted (must be in-hand by the Wednesday before start date) \n Epic EMR experience required \n Teaching hospital experience required \n Level I Trauma experience required \n BSN preferred \n Experience with abdominal/pelvic procedures including angioplasty, embolization, ERCP, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, radioembolization, stent placement, and thoracentesis \n Experience with vascular studies/procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, upper/lower extremity angiography, cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, and PTCA \n Experience with genitourinary studies/procedures including catheter/drain exchange, cystoscopy, embolization, gastrostomy, biliary drainage, nephrostomy, percutaneous stone extraction, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, and renal/ureteral stent placement \n Neurological stent placement experience \n Outpatient, OR, C-arm, and nephrogram experience \n Additional Information\n \n Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures across abdominal/pelvic, vascular, genitourinary, and neurological specialties \n Specialty-specific modules completed during orientation, recorded in Workday \n Maximum of 40 hours RTO permitted per 13-week contract; all time off must be disclosed prior to submission \n Any vacation time planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to coordinate an appropriate start date \n Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this unit due to facility policy \n Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval to be considered; external travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching that limit \n First-time travelers may be considered if experience is comprehensive \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-747389.
