Process Engineer

LHH is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to serve as a technical expert to drive improvements in plant efficiency and reliability, lead root cause analysis, and support capital projects to improve process performance. This role requires 7-10 years of experience and strong analytical skills to interpret process data and identify trends. This direct hire role is in Ottawa, IL and the anticipated salary is between $98,000-$136,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Improve plant efficiency and reliability through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Proactively monitor operations and troubleshoot to prevent issues
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead efforts to eliminate production losses
• Support capital projects aimed at enhancing process performance and safety
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to solve problems
• Guide process changes, equipment upgrades, and operating parameters

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience working in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with root cause analysis preferred
• Prior experience leading or supporting capital projects preferred
