Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) always
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools
• Able to fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair tools and maintain industrial machines
• Applies knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, layout, and machining procedures required
• Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine needs for adjustments or repair
• Dismantles machine or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts
• Assembles and tests operating machines to verify correction of malfunction
• May maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment
• May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches or relays
• Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to perform as a team player
• Good reading and math skills
• Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
• High school education or GED
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self starter who can work with minimal supervision
