Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician plays a key role in ensuring that all food products meet rigorous quality and safety standards within a modern, high-volume manufacturing environment. This position focuses on monitoring production processes, verifying compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and maintaining accurate quality documentation across assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality throughout the production process to ensure all items meet established specifications and standards.
• Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) consistently on the production floor to support food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform routine quality control checks and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Document quality findings accurately and promptly, maintaining clear and organized records for audits and internal reviews.
• Identify, report, and help investigate any deviations or non-conformances in product quality or processes.
• Collaborate with production staff to address quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow established quality assurance procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes.
• Support adherence to food safety standards and company policies throughout daily operations.
• Work required overtime on Saturdays as needed to support production demands and maintain quality oversight.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of food quality experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with quality control practices in food manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and their application in a food production facility.
• Ability to maintain accurate and thorough quality documentation and records.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and reviewing processes.
• Ability to work effectively on assigned shifts and perform required Saturday overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Spanish language skills are a plus and can enhance communication on the production floor.
• Familiarity with food quality assurance concepts and procedures.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a modern, state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility focused on high-quality production and strict adherence to food safety standards. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st/3rd shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with required Saturday overtime that may extend the workday to 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.; 2nd shift runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with required Saturday overtime that may extend the workday to 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with close collaboration between quality and operations teams to maintain machinery, production lines, and product standards at a high level.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. 401k PTO opportunity to work a lot of OT.
