Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a high-volume diagnostic facility in St. Johns, Florida. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality test results on a night shift schedule (Thursday–Sunday, 7 PM–7 AM).
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical testing procedures
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls; make technical decisions regarding testing
- Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures; document results accurately
- Maintain safe work environment and manage testing bench supplies as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Two or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- Florida Medical Technologist (MT) license
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Ability to pass color blindness screening test
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation: $10,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
