Plant Maintenance Technician HDR

Job Title Plant Maintenance Technician HDR (260001KI) Location California – Bakersfield Schedule Full-time Responsibilities Promote Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Perform General Physical Activities: Assist with operation of the plant using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials. Repair and Maintain Equipment: Assist co-workers in servicing, repairing, and adjusting various pieces of equipment. Inspect Equipment and Structures: Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations that maximize production and minimize interruptions. Operate Vehicles and Equipment: Operate heavy construction equipment or cleanup loaders to assist plant operations. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Experience in the aggregate or construction industry (preferred). Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production (preferred). Flexibility to work overtime, extended hours and outside in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noise. Mechanical skills and experience with industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance. Benefits This position is covered by the Local 681 collective bargaining agreement and offers a full benefits package including medical, vision, dental, prescription drug, mental health, pension, annuity, paid holidays, and paid vacation. Salary The salary is prescribed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates will be placed according to the union contract salary scale at $40.38 per hour.
