Regional Sales Director - West

Responsibilities Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and manage Account Managers to build a high-performing regional team Lead regional launch execution to drive awareness, demand generation, appropriate utilization, and sales performance Develop and execute regional business plans prioritizing key accounts, customer segments, market opportunities, and resource allocation Lead sales execution to compliantly meet and exceed sales targets Execute the approved marketing plan to maximize market penetration Identify and monitor local market conditions; build customer relationships and adapt strategies Ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and sales tactics within the region Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures at all levels Use data/dashboards/performance insights to monitor results, identify gaps, coach, optimize execution, and guide resource allocation Set performance expectations; provide ongoing coaching/feedback; manage performance and disciplinary matters to ensure accountability and compliance Conduct regular field ride-alongs with account managers for hands-on coaching Build an accountable culture that drives achievement, engagement, development, and retention Ensure compliance with all field activities and company guidelines Basic Qualifications BA/BS from an accredited institution Valid driver’s license 7+ years in pharmaceutical/medical/related medical sales 2+ years district/regional field management experience Experience leading teams in hospitals, health systems, and large practice groups Understanding of hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs Preferred Qualifications Success leading high-performing hospital/specialty/account-based teams in complex healthcare environments Launch experience for specialty/anti-infective/infectious disease/hospital-based products Deep hospital/health-system/large practice decision knowledge (formulary, stewardship, pathways, protocol development, demand gen) Experience with multiple stakeholders (clinical/non-clinical) Account leadership within IDNs/health systems/academic medical centers/large group practices Demonstrated coaching ability and analytical/data-driven decision-making Anti-infective/hospital specialty/infectious disease experience strongly preferred; access enablement/demand gen experience preferred MBA or advanced healthcare/business degree preferred Skills Regulatory/legal/compliance adherence; strong presentation/selling; Microsoft Office; excellent oral/written communication; analytical/technical with customer focus Requirements Travel up to 50% (including overnight) Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds #J-18808-Ljbffr Scorpion Therapeutics
