Job Description

As a Phlebotomist, you'll be the friendly face patients remember and the skilled professional they trust. In this role, you'll perform specimen collection on patients of all ages while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring specimen integrity. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your ability to stay organized, provide compassionate care, and perform challenging collections will make a direct impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with accuracy, confidence, and professionalism.
• Collect specimens from adult, geriatric, pediatric, and infant patients.
• Perform difficult and hard-stick blood draws while maintaining a positive patient experience.
• Process laboratory specimens and collection kits according to established procedures.
• Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
• Prepare, store, and transport specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming experience for every patient.
• Follow laboratory, quality assurance, and safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain accurate records within laboratory systems.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient daily operations.

Essential Skills

• Active California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) License.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience.
• Pediatric phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience with difficult and hard-stick draws.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced Patient Service Center that serves approximately 50-60 patients daily . No two days are exactly alike. You'll work alongside a collaborative team while caring for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. The ideal candidate enjoys staying busy, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and brings a positive attitude to every interaction.

Schedule & Pay

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Availability : Must be open to occasional weekend coverage

Pay Rate : $25.00/hour

This is a Contract position based out of Culver City, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.16 - $25.16/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
