Senior Treasury Management Sales Officer

Location: Northern New Jersey | Hybrid with significant regional client travel

The position requires more than portfolio management. The Senior Treasury Management Sales Officer will be expected to independently prospect, develop new opportunities, expand existing relationships and work alongside commercial bankers to deliver comprehensive treasury solutions to C&I clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand an existing portfolio of commercial treasury relationships.
• Develop new treasury business throughout Northern New Jersey.
• Partner closely with Commercial and Middle Market Relationship Managers.
• Independently prospect and create new opportunities in addition to internally generated referrals.
• Conduct treasury discovery and evaluate client cash-flow requirements.
• Design customized treasury solutions based on individual client needs.
• Sell sophisticated payment, receivables, liquidity, fraud-prevention and cash-management solutions.
• Work with integrated-payables, electronic-payment and API-enabled solutions.
• Develop proposals and manage opportunities from initial discovery through implementation.
• Generate treasury fee income and contribute to deposit and relationship-growth objectives.
• Maintain an active and disciplined sales pipeline through CRM.
• Coordinate with implementation, product, operations and commercial banking partners to deliver a strong onboarding experience.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities throughout the existing portfolio.
• Maintain knowledge of treasury technology, economic conditions, market trends and regulatory developments.
• Build visibility and relationships throughout the Northern New Jersey commercial business community.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of Treasury Management Sales experience
• Strong experience serving C&I operating companies
• Commercial and/or middle-market banking experience
• Proven history of achieving treasury sales and profitability objectives
• Experience selling sophisticated treasury products and technology
• Strong independent prospecting ability
• Demonstrated success partnering with Commercial Relationship Managers
• Ability to manage and expand an existing portfolio while simultaneously developing new business
• Strong CRM and pipeline-management discipline
• Excellent consultative sales and presentation skills
• Strong Northern New Jersey market knowledge preferred
• Certified treasury credential preferred but not required
• Collaborative, accountable and relationship-oriented
• Stable professional history with evidence of sustained performance

• Prefer a fully remote sales environment.
• Are unwilling to spend significant time meeting clients and bankers throughout Northern New Jersey.
• Lack disciplined CRM and pipeline-management habits.
• Are uncomfortable entering a growing market where coverage and portfolio assignments may continue to evolve.

Compensation

The organization offers a competitive total compensation package designed to reward individual sales performance, relationship growth and broader organizational success.

The position includes competitive base compensation and eligibility for a short-term incentive program, with incentive compensation evaluated on an annual basis. The role may also be eligible for equity-based compensation in the form of restricted stock units.

Specific compensation will depend on experience, treasury sales performance, market knowledge and overall fit.
