We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware,and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Position: Occupational Therapist

Location: Part Time and Full Time Caseloads available in our clinic located in Fairfax, VA

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work involves developmental screening/assessment, occupational therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
• Work is performed in clinic based settings
• Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed
• Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews
• Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.
• Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's Degree in OccupationalTherapy
• 1-2 years of experience working in pediatricsis preferred but open to train new graduates. Must be able to work with some degree of independence within established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines
• Must possess Virginia state license to practice OccupationalTherapy

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to climb and descend staircases
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
