Scientist II, Critical Reagents

Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Scientist II to manage critical reagent operations across research and clinical development. The role involves coordinating inventory, documentation, logistics, and outsourced reagent generation while partnering with internal teams and external CRO/CDMO partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, storage, inventory, distribution, and shipment of critical reagents internally and externally
• Monitor reagent inventory levels, identify needs, and coordinate replenishment across multiple tracking systems
• Maintain accurate documentation for reagent characterization, qualification, certificates of analysis, and traceability
• Coordinate operational activities for outsourced reagent-generation campaigns with CRO/CDMO partners
• Support procurement workflows, develop project trackers, and prepare status updates for recurring meetings

Requirements

• BS/BA in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with 4+ years biotech/pharma experience
• MS with 2+ years relevant industry experience, or PhD with some industry experience
• Experience supporting scientific operations, reagent management, or drug-development activities
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills managing multiple priorities and timelines
• Experience with scientific inventory or data-management systems; Smartsheet, Benchling, FreezerPro preferred
• Familiarity with antibodies, bioanalytical reagents, or critical reagent development preferred
• Experience working with external CROs/CDMOs and demonstrated attention to scientific documentation

Compensation: $110,800–$151,000 base, plus 20% target annual bonus and equity program eligibility
