Job Title: Electrical Designer Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Designer with strong EPLAN experience to support the design and development of power generation, switchgear, controls, and electrical distribution systems. This individual will work closely with Electrical Engineers, Controls Engineers, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams to develop electrical drawing packages and support projects through design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment.

• Develop and maintain electrical design packages using EPLAN.
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and bill of materials.
• Support generator control systems, power distribution systems, switchgear, and industrial control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
• Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
• Participate in design reviews and quality checks.
• Support manufacturing and field teams with troubleshooting and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and project requirements.

• Proficiency with EPLAN.
• Experience developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, and electrical layouts.
• Experience supporting generator controls, switchgear, PLC systems, industrial controls, or power distribution equipment.
• Knowledge of UL508A standards.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design, Drafting, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical design experience.
• Experience with power generation, utilities, data centers, switchgear, or control systems preferred.
• Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and industrial controls.

The role is set in a fast-paced engineering environment that encourages collaborative interaction with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and project management teams. The position involves a mix of office and production floor interaction and exposure to power generation and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Raleigh,NC.
