Loan Advisor II The primary focus of the Loan Advisor II is to build and deepen relationships with members through loan and new membership interactions. The role gathers all information necessary to grant a loan application and advises on suitable products and services to protect the member’s financial future. Essential Functions Actively cross‑sell credit union services by providing information to current, new, and potential members. Create excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand. Interview members in person, by phone, and via video to assess loan eligibility and assist in selecting the appropriate loan type. Complete loan applications, update member records, and prepare new records as required. Conduct outbound calls to proactively partner with members. Provide debt counseling to members. Assist members over the phone with loan and membership questions. Build new member relationships while offering products and services tailored to the member’s current and future financial needs. Consistently achieve the established sales targets for Veridian product and services such as ancillary products, loan growth, referrals, outbound initiatives, and new memberships. Understand and be familiar with all branch operations and loan regulations and guidelines. Perform all retail, operations, and procedural responsibilities of Teller Service Representatives and Member Service Representatives. Support the Member Contact Center to enhance member experience as needed. Assist with coaching retail employees. Key Attributes Oral and written communication skills. Member service focus. Required Education And Experience High School Diploma. 1+ years of experience in a financial institution or closely related area. 6+ months of lending experience. Knowledge of loan procedures and related legal requirements. Proven success in member service, sales, and advice. Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Physical Demands Occasionally lift and/or move items over 10 pounds. Remain seated for extended periods of time. Working Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel Limited travel expected.
