Details Long Term Care facility with 40 staffed beds 4x12 or 3x12 variable shift schedules, traveler's choice of Day (7:00-19:30) or Night (19:00-7:30) shifts No rotation between day and night shifts, with occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs Patient ratio of 1:20 Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities nearby No on-call responsibilities Uses ECS charting system Scrubs of any color permitted Requirements Active AK RN license required in hand at time of submission Current BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Previous travel nursing experience required LTC experience required LTAC experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Skills required: respiratory care, oxygen administration, IV therapy/medication administration, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions/PPE 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs or Leads Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation as a condition of employment Additional Information First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period No more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) All RTO requests must be submitted upfront and will not be considered after an offer or contract signing Assignment length is traveler's choice of 13 or 26 weeks Facility provides shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the beginning and end of the assignment Free parking available on-site American Traveler Job ID P-750129.
