Wealthy Recruiting

Vice President of Human Resources
Location: St. Louis, MO (Daily In-Office)
Compensation: $250,000+ based on Experience

We are a rapidly growing, multi-state healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care across a large network of skilled nursing and senior care facilities. Our success is built on investing in great people, maintaining the highest standards of clinical and operational excellence, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead and elevate our HR function across multiple states and facilities. This is a highly visible executive leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

You won't be inheriting a department to simply oversee-you'll be expected to build, improve, and optimize HR operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to support thousands of employees across a complex, multi-site organization. From workforce planning and compliance to talent acquisition, employee engagement, payroll, and organizational development, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our company and the employee experience.

If you're a collaborative leader who enjoys solving problems, driving initiatives, and creating scalable HR processes that support growth, we'd love to speak with you.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all human resources operations across a multi-state portfolio of healthcare facilities, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals while supporting continued growth and expansion.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and regional operations teams to provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, employee engagement, and talent management.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention initiatives, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, and payroll operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies.
  • Evaluate and improve HR systems, workflows, and processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and overall employee experience.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR team, fostering accountability, professional development, and a service-oriented culture.
  • Serve as the senior HR advisor on complex employee relations matters, investigations, policy interpretation, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify workforce challenges and implement proactive solutions that improve retention, engagement, and performance.
  • Utilize HR metrics and workforce analytics to identify trends, measure success, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Support organizational initiatives related to leadership development, culture, employee recognition, and long-term talent strategy.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive human resources leadership experience within healthcare or another large, multi-site organization.
  • Previous experience supporting skilled nursing is highly preferred. Candidates from home health, hospice, senior living, behavioral health, hospital systems, or other multi-state healthcare environments are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven success leading HR operations across multiple locations with responsibility for large employee populations.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, employment law, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and talent acquisition.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with executive leadership while remaining highly engaged in day-to-day HR operations.
  • Experience leading organizational change, improving HR infrastructure, and implementing scalable processes within growing organizations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree and/or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in St. Louis, Missouri on a daily basis. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Compensation
  • Base salary of $250,000+ based on experience.
  • Relocation assistance provided for qualified candidates.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, retirement benefits, and executive-level support.

Opportunity to join a financially stable, growing healthcare organization where you'll have a direct impact on company culture, workforce strategy, and long-term organizational success while working alongside an experienced executive leadership team.
