Civil Litigation Attorney – Insurance Defense Position: Civil Litigation Attorney Location: Tampa, FL Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year (DOE) Practice Area: Insurance Defense – Premises, Product & General Liability About the Firm This Tampa-based firm is known for thoughtful, strategic litigation and long‑standing client relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Draft, review, and argue motions, pleadings, and other substantive litigation documents. Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses. Participate in mediations, hearings, and trials. Advise clients and insurance carriers on litigation strategy and case status. Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case management and strategy. Maintain timely communication with clients, adjusters, and internal team members. Ensure compliance with firm standards and client protocols. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar. 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a strong emphasis on insurance defense preferred. Demonstrated experience handling general liability, premises liability, and product liability matters. Excellent legal analysis, research, writing, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high‑quality work product in a fast‑paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.
