QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES: • 1-3+ years of instructional design, training development, or related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective training from the ground up, including when formal curriculum or materials do not yet exist. • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. • Ability to identify learning/performance needs and determine when training is the appropriate solution. • Strong ability to simplify complex or technical information into clear, actionable learning. • Experience partnering with subject matter experts to translate processes and expertise into structured training. • Experience designing instructor-led, eLearning, on-the-job, and/or blended learning experiences. • Ability to develop measurable learning objectives, assessments, and proficiency criteria. • Strong project management, communication, collaboration, and organization skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently within established priorities and timelines. • Experience with modern instructional design/eLearning tools (Articulate 360 or similar) preferred. • Experience with LMS platforms, operations/distribution environments, and compliance training preferred. • Formal training in instructional design, adult learning, education, or a related field preferred. • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating instructional design capability strongly preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES - HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE VISION include the following, but are not limited to: • Analyze & Discover: Partner with department leaders and SMEs to understand workflows, learner needs, performance expectations, and gaps; determine whether training is the right solution. • Design: Define measurable learning objectives and select the right learning approach based on the audience, workflow, risk, and desired performance. • Develop: Create high-quality learning solutions for onboarding, role-specific development, compliance, and other business needs, including instructor-led training, eLearning, structured on-the-job learning, job aids, facilitator guides, assessments, and learning paths. • Build from the Ground Up: Lead SME discovery to capture knowledge and create structured, scalable training where little or no formal training currently exists. • Work Iteratively: Use Agile/rapid-development practices to prototype, test, gather feedback, launch, and improve learning solutions while balancing quality and speed. • Partner & Execute: Work closely with the Training & Development leader, who sets priorities and goals; independently manage instructional design projects within those priorities. • Align: Ensure training reflects current SOPs, workflows, and real-world job expectations. • Assess: Design meaningful knowledge checks, skills demonstrations, practice activities, and proficiency measures aligned to job performance. • Evaluate: Define success measures during design and use learner data, stakeholder feedback, assessments, observations, and operational metrics to evaluate effectiveness. • Improve: Use results and feedback to strengthen training, improve consistency, reduce errors, and shorten time-to-proficiency. • Support: Help organize and maintain learning content within the LMS. INDICATORS OF PERFORMANCE • Learning solutions address clearly defined business, performance, or compliance needs. • Projects move efficiently from discovery through launch using iterative development practices. • Learning objectives, instruction, practice, and assessments are aligned. • Learners demonstrate required knowledge and/or proficiency following training. • Training contributes to measurable improvements such as accuracy, consistency, quality, safety, error reduction, or time-to-proficiency. • Positive learner feedback and engagement, along with stakeholder satisfaction with training solutions and project execution. • Training is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with current SOPs and workflows. • Strong communication and collaboration with leaders, SMEs, trainers, and learners throughout the design process. • Training effectiveness data is used to improve learning solutions. IMPROVING THE SYSTEM All Fait Associates are responsible for documenting and fixing problems within the system. In addition, this role is responsible for improvement project participation, planning, communicating and implementing solutions where possible. PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT Fait will provide resources and support, relevant to the position, for education and training as needed. It is the Associate's responsibility to seek approval, schedule and participate in education and/or training that will prepare him/her for present and future needs. A post training recap may be required.
