About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Must be proficient in OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase EMR Description: Provides coordinated and directed home nursing care according to physician orders. Responsible for the competent application of the nursing process according to agency policies. Supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Home visits required, along with periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation and current driver's license. Agency-required liability insurance is necessary. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits. Weekend requirements vary by location. On-call duty may be required, typically one weekend per month. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Locals are accepted at the same rate within the mileage radius. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of appointment. No guaranteed hours with this contract; weekly productivity points of 30 are expected. Documented delays that impact billing and follow-up care will result in a cancellation. Must accept all patients on the schedule regardless of distance. Candidates must have recent specialty experience; first-timers are not accepted. Job responsibilities require compliance with specified EMR systems used within the last 6 months.
