Art Director/Designer

Modern Climate, a Minneapolis-based studio operating on a hybrid schedule, is looking for an Art Director/Designer who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on design across brand identities and digital campaigns. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality creative that stays on brand and on schedule, with a salary range of USD 85,000 to 110,000 per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities Demonstrate strong conceptual skills and a solid understanding of the digital landscape Concept and design print, audio, video, and digital creative; craft typography and provide direction for photography and motion Bring brand identities and design systems to life to communicate an organization's true DNA through logos, iconography, typography, colors, illustration, and other visual elements Collaborate with creative teams, strategists, and account leads to produce a high volume of work on time, within budget, and on brand Participate in brainstorms and deliver best-in-class creative that meets and exceeds client objectives Translate creative direction into engaging and effective design solutions Develop in-depth content for online experiences and digital campaigns Understand business objectives and audience demographics Collaborate with creative teams to help determine conceptual campaign direction Lead by example and mentor other creatives as opportunities arise Work closely with the Creative Director to build and optimize efficient processes and protocol to improve the department Deliver polished client presentations that clearly show how the work addresses client challenges Requirements Bachelor's degree in communication arts, graphic design, or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience on the visual side of the creative realm inside a marketing agency environment Strong understanding of design principles and how they relate to brand Ability to translate clear strategy into brilliant creative expression Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute campaigns Acute attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines Portfolio of work to be submitted at time of application (password if necessary) Technologies Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Adobe Creative Suite Figma Google Suite AI Tools Benefits An inclusive, vibrant and welcoming culture Challenging and unique opportunities that will elevate your career growth A team of industry-leading colleagues to grow alongside A genuine team environment where you'll support and be supported by others Flexible hybrid schedule Medical, dental and vision insurance Flexible PTO Collaborative Model We work in a flexible hybrid model with in-office days on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Tuesdays and Fridays are work from home days Our office is located in the North Loop Neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota And yes, we were here before it was cool Core Values We, Not Me Be Brave Dig Deep Lean Forward Be Kind Be Present #J-18808-Ljbffr Modern Climate
