Controls Technician

The role involves providing essential field support for the system checkout and commissioning (Cx) process. This includes ladder and lift work, point-to-point verification, sensor calibration, and equipment and component testing, checking, and labeling. Additionally, the position requires providing software support for the system checkout process, addressing software problems, making setpoint and parameter adjustments, performing basic graphic modifications, and creating trends and alarms. A fundamental understanding of HVAC air and hydronic systems is necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Provide field support for system checkout and commissioning (Cx) process.
• Conduct ladder and lift work, point-to-point verification, and sensor calibration.
• Perform equipment and component checkout, testing, and labeling.
• Provide software support for the system checkout process.
• Navigate software problems, including overrides and adjustments.
• Create and modify basic graphics, trends, and alarms.
• Understand HVAC air and hydronic systems.

Work Environment:

The work environment involves retrofitting construction settings. Travel is an integral part of the job, with a 50% travel requirement. Employees will receive a 1-2 week notice before being sent for out-of-state jobs.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
