Our team takes pride in operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and delivering responsive, professional service to our residents.We are currently seeking an experienced and leadership-driven Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at our San Diego community.Position OverviewThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations of the community, ensuring the physical asset is maintained in excellent condition, work orders are completed timely, preventative maintenance is executed, and compliance standards are upheld.This role supervises maintenance staff (if applicable), manages vendors, oversees inventory and budgets, and ensures the property remains safe, compliant, and inspection-ready at all times.The ideal candidate is technically skilled, organized, proactive, and capable of leading a maintenance team within an affordable housing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational OversightSupervise and direct daily maintenance operationsAssign and monitor completion of work ordersEnsure timely and quality completion of repairsOversee unit turnovers to ensure readiness for occupancyMaintain property in inspection-ready condition (TCAC, investor, lender, REAC, etc.)Technical ResponsibilitiesPerform and oversee repairs including:PlumbingElectricalHVAC systemsAppliance repairCarpentryBuilding systems troubleshootingDevelop and execute preventative maintenance schedulesEnsure proper handling of emergency maintenance situationsParticipate in on-call rotationCompliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with LIHTC and affordable housing requirementsMaintain OSHA safety standardsConduct routine safety inspectionsEnsure proper documentation of work orders and repairsMaintain SDS logs and safety documentationVendor & Budget ManagementCoordinate and supervise third-party contractorsObtain bids as requiredMonitor maintenance expensesManage inventory and supply orderingControl costs while maintaining quality standardsLeadership & CommunicationTrain and mentor maintenance staffPromote accountability and performance standardsCommunicate effectively with Community Manager and Regional leadershipProvide excellent customer service to residentsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTrade certifications preferred (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)5+ years of property maintenance experience required2+ years in a supervisory or lead role preferredExperience in LIHTC, tax credit, or affordable housing strongly preferredStrong knowledge of building systems and troubleshootingAbility to manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational and leadership skillsAbility to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasksValid driver's license and reliable transportation requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage (based on experience)On-site 1-bedroom apartment (subject to on-call requirements)Paid time off, including Federal HolidaysMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchOngoing training and professional developmentGrowth opportunities within a growing affordable housing portfolioHow to ApplyIf you are a strong maintenance leader looking to grow with a company committed to quality, affordable housing, we encourage you to apply.Please submit your resume for consideration.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are committed to equal employment opportunity and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
