Manager, Community RelationsRole SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Manager, Community Relations to lead community engagement, social performance, regional partnerships, and community investment across our Nevada operations. This highly visible leadership role will shape how Nevada Gold Mines engages with communities, manages social risk, and creates lasting regional benefits.The Manager, Community Relations will lead a field-based team across urban and rural communities and serve as a trusted advisor to operations and senior leadership. Working closely with operations, projects, permitting, environmental, legal, HR, supply chain, sustainability, and other functions, this role will ensure community perspectives are understood early and meaningfully incorporated into business decisions.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesTeam & Community LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a high-performing community relations team across urban and rural operations.Set engagement priorities, allocate resources based on social risk, and build leadership and succession depth.Build trusted relationships with communities, local governments, business and civic leaders, educators, and other stakeholders.Engagement & Social PerformanceOwn community engagement strategies and standards across operations, ensuring consistent, inclusive, and locally relevant engagement.Lead the community grievance mechanism, identify trends and systemic issues, and drive timely resolution and operational improvement.Ensure community relations practices reflect company commitments to responsible business conduct, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.Social Risk & Operational InfluenceIdentify and manage social risk across the portfolio and advise project and operational leaders early enough to influence decisions.Oversee social impact assessments, stakeholder research, and monitoring to inform business decisions.Provide clear counsel on emerging issues and escalate material risks appropriately.Regional Development & PartnershipsLead social investment and community partnership strategies aligned with community priorities.Partner across HR, supply chain, operations, and other functions to advance local hiring, workforce development, supplier opportunities, and regional priorities.Measure and communicate the outcomes and impact of community investments and partnerships.Issues, Incidents & ReportingLead or support resolution of complex stakeholder concerns, disputes, and community-facing incidents.Coordinate with Tribal Relations on matters involving tribal lands, treaty rights, ceded territory, or areas of cultural significance.Ensure engagement, grievance, commitment, and performance data meet regulatory, audit, litigation, sustainability, and ESG requirements.Qualifications & SkillsEducationBachelor's degree in in public affairs, communications, political science, rural development, sustainability, natural resources, or related field required. Experience12+ years of experience in community relations, external affairs, stakeholder engagement, government relations, or social performance, preferably within mining, energy, infrastructure, industrial, or natural resource sectors required. 5+ years of supervisory experience required.
