Job Description Duties and Responsibilities

First point of contact for shipping and receiving Coordinate and oversee daily shipping and receiving activities including internal inbound receiving Communicate with purchasing, vendors and transportation to balance receiving schedule and resolve issues Responsible for managing dock space for both receiving and shipping load Responsible billing and collecting lumping fees and collecting payment Communicate shipment issues or delays to management in a timely manner Verify all documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips Responsible for receiving temperature-controlled products within spec and maintaining required logs Verify Carrier information prior to loading and sealing Maintain inbound and outbound shipping/receiving and temperature chain of custody logs Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes as needed to meet business needs. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including proper handling and storage of good Send End of Shift recap Communicate with Supervisor to manage overtime Ability to work with various departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth daily operations Accept and provide constructive coaching and feedback Must be able to perform basic arithmetic to include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform (each essential duty satisfactorily) and manage other duties and tasks as needed upon request by management

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: At least 2 years as a Lead in the Receiving department Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Able to train, provide lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff; prioritize work, organize and delegate assignments Able to prioritize, adapt to change and work well under pressure Focus on work and minimize interruptions Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, performing basic computer related tasks and using RF and WMS system. 3 - 5 years Warehouse or Lead experience in a Distribution Warehouse is required Forklift and Pallet Jack certified and experienced is required RF Scanner experience Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.

Shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm Monday-Friday Some OT can be required
