Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking qualified candidates for a Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician position in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and possess a minimum of two years of experience in the operating room, with expertise in orthopedic (total knee/hips), neuro, trauma, and robotics procedures. The position involves working in an acute care setting, primarily supporting outpatient cases on a rotating schedule. The assignment begins on 07/13/2026, and candidates must meet all licensure and certification requirements.

• Specialty: Surgical Technician/Operating Room (ORT)
• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts including 630 a.m. - 1500, 630 a.m. - 1900, 1045 a.m. - 1915, 1045 a.m. - 2315, and 1430 - 2300
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, completion of a Registered Nurse program, or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program; high school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of prior scrub experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); willing to wait for license confirmation; driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility; minimum of 2 years OR experience with strong orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and robotics experience; experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC).
• Schedule: Rotating day and afternoon shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and a minimum of 2 shifts per 13-week contract period.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have strong ambulatory case experience, particularly on 2 West. Orientation occurs every two weeks on non-NEO weeks.
• Submission Requirements: Can only submit to one position at a time across the entire system; providers must submit travel teams together in a single email; only two candidates permitted per opening; previous permanent candidates must wait 2 years; previous travelers with a full years tenure must wait 2 years.
