General Counsel

_*Concordia is seeking an experienced General Counsel to serve as the organization’s senior legal executive and a key member of the executive leadership team.*_ _*We are looking for someone with long term care experience who's well versed and familiar with the rules and regulations in this field.*_ This position will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, senior leadership and Board of Directors, providing strategic legal guidance across Concordia and its affiliated entities. What You’ll Do as *General Counsel:* The *General Counsel *will oversee Concordia’s legal function and advise leadership on _*corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, real estate, health care regulatory compliance, physician contracting, Stark and Anti-Kickback requirements, risk management, litigation and labor and employment matters.*_ Key responsibilities of *General Counsel *include: * Lead the legal function, including legal staff, budgets and outside counsel * Advise executive leadership and the Board on legal, regulatory and strategic business matters * Lead legal aspects of acquisitions, divestitures and due diligence and review and negotiate complex agreements * Partner with Compliance and operational leadership to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risk * Manage significant litigation and outside counsel * Serve as Corporate Secretary and maintain appropriate corporate records * Monitor evolving federal and state health care laws, regulations and industry requirements Qualifications of *General Counsel:* * *Juris Doctor (JD)* from an accredited law school and active State Bar admission * Ability to qualify as Limited In-House Corporate Counsel in Pennsylvania, if applicable * *15+ years of health care legal experience* * *Substantial in-house counsel experience with a health system or similarly complex health care organization* * Strong experience in health care law, corporate transactions, M&A, regulatory compliance, contract negotiations and litigation management * Exceptional judgment, communication, negotiation and leadership skills with a high degree of ethics and integrity Why choose Concordia?
