Information Security Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic team.
As an integral part of the Security Operations Center (SOC), you will play a vital role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring a secure operational environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will enable you to thrive in a collaborative and innovative workplace. Job Title: Information Security Analyst Location: Denver, Colorado Pay Range: $60-65 hour, based on experience What's the Job?- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events within the SOC using Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) platforms.
- Perform cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact for each alert.
- Coordinate containment and remediation efforts following established procedures or industry standards.
- Review industry-relevant cyber alerts from sources such as US-CERT and A-ISAC to proactively identify threats on the network.
- Document response procedures and contribute to the development of best practices for cybersecurity incident handling.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and related protocols.
- Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Azure, EntraID, Sentinel, Defender, and Crowdstrike or similar EDR platforms.
- At least 2 years of experience working as a SOC Analyst or in a cybersecurity incident response role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret security alerts and technical data.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively relay technical information to non-technical audiences.
