Business Development Director

IQVIA seeks a Business Development Director to drive revenue growth through strategic sales activities targeting clinical sponsors across multiple U.S. locations. The role involves prospecting new business, building customer relationships, developing sales strategies, and coordinating cross-functional teams to close contracts.

Responsibilities

Prospect and identify new business opportunities within target customer accounts
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
Develop account-specific sales plans and competitive positioning strategies
Lead sales presentations and coordinate with contracts, proposals, and operations teams
Monitor customer satisfaction and prepare sales activity reports for management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business management
12 years related experience with 5 years in CRO, pharmaceutical, or sales roles
Proven track record engaging mid-level and high-level contacts
Strong understanding of drug discovery, development, and commercialization principles
Excellent analytical skills and business acumen with industry trend awareness
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
Willingness to travel approximately 40% based on assigned location

Compensation: $111,200-$309,800 base
