Research Engineer

Dev/Research Engineer
This is a critical role in the engine development process. Your work will ensure the quality and durability of the Client engines. You will have the opportunity to present test results to customers including stakeholders. You will develop skills in engine testing, problem solving, communication and collaboration.
- Pretest: Understand test objectives and scope, project timeline Collect gauge maps, test cycles Prepare parts and gauges - Work with the lab team on test execution and data acquisition using systems like LMS, eDAQ Set up test instrumentation Perform modal testing for engine systems and components. Perform engine tests by following standard test procedures. Perform test data analysis such as vibration severity assessment, weld/bolted joint analysis, parent material fatigue analysis, fluid flow, pressure and temperature analysis, etc. by following Client standard test procedures. Communicate test results and recommendations to internal customers including design engineers and engine system validation leads
Will work with a large group of business partners including the design team, validation team, testing team including lab technicians and simulation team.
The working level team consists of test engineers and validation engineers. The next level up is the VPD team which is part of the IPSD-L engineering team.
Highly collaborative work environment Mainly TC-L engine test lab. Potentially travel to other locations
Years of experience: Three years of engineering experience is required. Structural vibration and durability testing experience is required. Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
