Your Core Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously (depending on credentials)
• Educating patients and families on preventative care, healthy living, and chronic illness management
• Prescribing medications and therapies abiding by the scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and effective management of chronic conditions

Educational Background Required

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New Jersey
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
