Job Title Emergency Services Technician Job Type Full Time - Nights | 7:00P-7:30A Overview At Willamette Valley Medical Center, the Emergency Services Technician supports nurse and physician staff in the Emergency Department by performing tasks that assist in the treatment and care of patients with illnesses or injuries, taking into account individual patient’s physical or age‑related needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role requires knowledge and skills appropriate for all patient ages: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Responsibilities Provides direct personal care under the supervision of the nurse within the scope of practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant I or II and Emergency Department Technician. Participates as a contributory member of the interdisciplinary team. Completes all documentation within departmental requirements and timelines. Participates in the responsible management of all departmental/hospital resources and works with the ED team to maintain equipment and supplies and adequate inventory levels. Assumes responsibility for meeting annual in‑service requirements and ongoing personal development. Phlebotomy. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Basic EMT (EMT‑B), Advanced EMT (AEMT), Paramedic License or CNA license preferred. Current BLS certification. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training completed within three months of hire and maintained as current.
