Job Summary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nursing position located in Asheville, North Carolina. The role involves providing advanced critical care for trauma and surgical patients in a specialized intensive care environment. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. Responsibilities Provide advanced critical care for trauma and surgical patients in ICU. Perform intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, external ventricular drain (EVD) placement, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and debridement. Participate in modified self‑scheduling policy and float to various ICU or step‑down units as required. Preferred Qualifications: Team player, positive attitude, flexible, experienced with acute care ICU skills and procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, external ventricular drain (EVD) placement, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), debridement, and minor surgery. Additional Information: Modified self‑scheduling policy; float policy requires travelers to float before core staff and to various ICU units or step‑down units as needed.
