SUMMARY
The Automation Systems Technician will operate and maintain automated and mechanical equipment within our manufacturing facility. They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of automation systems, as well as promptly addressing any technical issues that may arise. The successful candidate will partner with maintenance teams and other staff to optimize automation processes, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Operate and monitor automated production systems to ensure efficient production processes.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on automation systems to prevent unexpected breakdowns and delays.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems with automation equipment, taking prompt action to resolve issues or coordinate repairs working together with maintenance and production partners
• Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance tasks, and any required repairs.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineering teams to identify and troubleshoot process optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Replenish materials and supplies used by the automation equipment to support uninterrupted production operations.
• Provide training and support to other team members on the proper use and handling of automation equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Implements safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards to maintain a safe work environment. Participate in safety teams.
• Leverage the CMMS, Quality software, ERP and other programs or software to optimize production.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable GMP regulations, guidelines, and internal quality standards.

• High school diploma, or equivalent experience, confirmed knowledge, skills, and abilities gained; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in operating and maintaining automated machinery and systems.
• Advanced mechanical competence with a track record to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Thorough with a commitment to accuracy and safety.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully across all levels of an organization

• Travel to the corporate office in California may be required in the first few months for training purposes

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. • This position is based in Rocky Mount, VA and is onsite Monday through Friday supporting a three-shift operation.
• Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

• $31.25 per hour
