Certified Pipe WelderTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Certified Pipe Welders for projects located in or around Norcross, GA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Weld carbon steel pipe using FCAW and GMAW welding processesProduce complete penetration solid wire MIG root weldsPerform welding using pipe positioners in the 1G positionRead fabrication drawings, spool drawings, weld symbols, and specificationsFollow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Verify proper fit-up prior to weldingProduce high-quality welds with minimal reworkWork closely with Pipe Fitters and fabrication personnel to meet production goalsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentRequirements:Previous fabrication shop experience requiredCurrent FCAW and/or GMAW welding certification requiredExperience producing complete penetration solid wire MIG root weldsExperience welding carbon steel pipeExperience welding pipe using positioners (1G)Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbolsAbility to follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Must successfully complete a hands-on weld testMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screeningPreferred Qualifications:Current AWS D1.1 3G or 4G Structural Certification (MIG or SMAW)Recent certified welding experience within the last six monthsCommercial or industrial mechanical piping experienceBe Safe from fraud!
