What You Will Be Doing In this role, you\'ll ensure that critical mechanical, electrical, and facility systems remain operational and safe to support Helion\'s fusion development activities. We\'re looking for a Senior Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to tackle complex maintenance tasks across a multi-building campus, support team members, and improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure that supports our mission. You will report to the Facilities Operations Manager and work onsite at our Everett, WA office. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/cooling units, compressed air, plumbing, water, electrical systems, and other facility utilities in the production environment Install, modify, and repair air drops, lines, and facility systems to support manufacturing operations Troubleshoot and maintain facility-dependent equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and overhead cranes Respond to building repair issues including leaking faucets, toilets, roof leaks, and equipment leaks Maintain and repair access systems including roll-up doors, pedestrian doors, and automated gate systems Coordinate vendor work, document maintenance activities and work orders, order parts, and support facility changes such as equipment installation, relocation, and office moves while following safety procedures Support of fire/life safety installations and testing Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to work second shift: Monday – Friday, 2pm -10:30pm 7+ years of experience in building, mechanical, or facility maintenance Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, including use of diagnostic tools Knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and OSHA safety compliance Skilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics Experienced operating motorized lift equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor/boom lifts) Comfortable working at heights and using fall protection equipment Physical ability to squat, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in HVAC or related trades are a plus Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days) 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break Up to 5% employer 401(k) match Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance Paid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks) Annual wellness stipend Helion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
