Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Endoscopy Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Washington license in the form of CNA, MA-C, or Surgical Tech licensure required Certifications: BLS, CNA, MA-C, or Surgical Tech required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with outpatient endoscopy procedures - Familiarity with various endoscopic equipment Description: Locals accepted at the same rate. First-timers are accepted. Shift is 4x10 days; start and stop times may vary. General hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, subject to patient schedule alterations. On Thursdays, start time is 8:30 AM. On-call duties are required Monday through Friday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekend call is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Clinicians can only take weekend call if they are ERCP certified. Call frequency is 2-3 times per month. It is rare for clinicians to be called in during weekday overnight call. Floating to different campuses may be required. Weekends and holidays are closed; on-call duties only. Requirements include experience with high-level disinfection and various endoscopic procedures. Must be skilled in instrument processing, cleaning, and maintaining supply levels. Clinician must have the ability to assist with biopsies and other endoscopic procedures. Must comply with infection control and sterilization protocols. References are required covering recent work history.
