Professional Surveyor

Garver is seeking a Professional Surveyor for our Field Services Team in Huntsville, Al. The Surveyor will work with the manager to complete all types of land survey functions. Our Field Services Team offers a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment with the opportunity to gain immediate hands-on experience. The successful candidate will be required to meet the following physical demands that are essential to the job: Regularly stand and/or walk while holding tools or objects in the field Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds Minimum Requirements Registered Licensed Surveyor in the State of Alabama Familiarity with Public Land Survey System (PLSS) Familiarity with processing survey data from filed to finish, preparing property boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and subdivision plats. Must be willing to work in the field with survey teams on various types of survey projects. Knowledge of survey principles and practices Must have the ability to quickly solve daily survey related problems and complete projects in a timely manner. Willingness to travel to sites 30% of the time with overnight travel Experience operating data collectors, conventional, robotic, and GPS equipment. Must possess a valid driver's license.
