Agent in Training - Farmers Insurance

Job Description We are looking for a competitive insurance agent candidates for the Farmers Insurance Protégé Program. Our protégé agents work for qualified mentor agents around Michigan to learn and sell our product portfolio, ways to market and run an insurance agency from top to bottom. Our Protégé program is essentially a paid internship program (base+ commission) to help prepare you for starting OR taking over an existing book of business. We are seeking a passionate, self-driven, natural born salesperson with a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Candidates understand that it takes time to build a business, to develop the proper skills and understanding to excel in this field. We provide our Proteges with ongoing training and support on their path to success so they can best serve the Farmers customers! Candidates will generate new business by contacting potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio. The goal is to build up strong positive relationships, to ensure growth attainment and increase the agency's reputation while gaining the knowledge and experience to launch your own agency. Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Work from Home Career Growth Opportunities Hands on Training Mon-Fri Schedule Responsibilities Develop marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions/changes to existing ones Breed productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc Evaluate business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and propose protection plans that meet their criteria Work with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profiles Report the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders Maintain bookkeeping systems, database and records Monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services Fulfill all policy requirements Be able to obtain or currently possess a Michigan Property & Casualty insurance license. Be able to obtain or currently possess a Michigan Life and Health Insurance license Requirements Proven working experience as an Insurance agent or relevant experience Familiarity with all types of insurance plans (automobile, fire, life, property, business etc) Basic computer knowledge and statistical analysis Proven ability to work with goals Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships Demonstrated ability to sell on the phone High school or BS degree #J-18808-Ljbffr The Juris Agency
