Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Quality Control: Assist with the unloading of delivery vehicles and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders. Perform detailed inspections for damages and document discrepancies in the inventory system.
Inventory Control: Independently manage the placement of materials in designated storage zones. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in reconciling inventory variances to ensure 100% stock accuracy.
Order Fulfillment: Execute complex picking and packing tasks with high precision. Ensure all orders meet quality packaging standards.
Shipping & Logistics: Coordinate the preparation of outbound shipments, including palletization, weighing, and creating shipping labels (e.g., UPS, FedEx, or LTL).
Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as manual or electric pallet jacks and forklifts to move heavy materials.
Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and "audit-ready" workspace. Actively identify and report potential safety hazards.
Required Skills & Experience Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment is required.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with handheld RF scanners.
Experience using inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with shipping software and document preparation.
Core Competencies:
Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards (OSHA).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift (typically 8-10 hours).
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience Preferred Skills
Current or prior Forklift Certification (Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, or Sit-down).
Experience with "Lean" or "5S" workplace organization methodologies.
First Aid or CPR certification.
