ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR

Beginning level inspectional and law enforcement work in securing compliance with ordinances and established safety standards relating to electrical systems, fixtures and equipment; and related work as required. A High School Diploma or G.E.D.* Possession of a valid Louisiana Driver's License.* AND EITHER Two (2) years of full-time experience in residential, commercial, or industrial wiring. Experience is subject to verification. Note: Familiarity with a wide range of electrical equipment and electrical systems such as multi-family residential, high-rise, commercial, and light industrial is required. No probationary period may last longer than one (1) year. If employees are not certified by the ICC during their probationary period, they must wait one (1) year from the end of their probationary period or receive certification from the ICC to be considered for rehire.
