Pharmacist Inpatient

Pharmacist Inpatient Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: Minimum years of experience required, new graduates accepted with relevant experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: PharmD, RPh, proficient in Cerner order verification Must-Have: Proficient in Cerner order verification Familiar with Cerner EMR and Cerner Meds Manager Order Verification process Familiar with inpatient pharmacy hospital distribution services and IV room preparation Familiar with hospital-based medications including IV antibiotics, IV anticoagulants, and IV electrolytes Description: The position is for an inpatient pharmacist. The candidate must be proficient in Cerner order verification. This role involves utilizing Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper. The candidate should have knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations. They must be comfortable with handling medications such as IV antibiotics, IV anticoagulants, and IV electrolytes. First-time travelers will be considered if they have experience with Cerner Meds Manager order verification. Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. There are no weekend or holiday requirements. The daily census is approximately 190 patients with a total of 240 beds available. Candidates will work with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. This is a sensitive position requiring professional conduct and responsibility. The role may involve some floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on volume and census.
