Ambulatory Float Pool Nurse - Faulkner

Job Summary Schedule: 36 hours per week. Combination of 9‑ and 12‑hour shifts. As a member of our Ambulatory Float team, you will see Endoscopy, Outpatient Infusion, Pain Management, and Interventional Radiology/Nephrology. You will coordinate and provide all aspects of nursing care before, during and after procedures and collaborate with all disciplines to achieve defined patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department’s Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The Ambulatory Float RN will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care in the four procedural and ambulatory areas mentioned above. The RN coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines to achieve defined patient outcomes, demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs, provides appropriate education to patients and families about their plan of care, and demonstrates excellent customer‑service skills when interacting with patients, families and coworkers. Qualifications BSN required. Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure required. BLS and ACLS required. Previous procedural/ambulatory nursing experience strongly preferred. Excellent IV skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Show evidence of basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients. Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities. Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.
