Certified Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

McLaren Northern Michigan, a top-tier health system in Petoskey, MI, is actively seeking a Certified Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to cover starting June 9, 2026, 7 days on/ 7 days off. Details:

• Practice Setting: Hospital call
• Date coverage: June 9, 2026 - January 1, 2027
• Shift description: 12 hours shift from 7p-7a (7on/7off)
• Reason for coverage: Recruitment Gap

Patients per day: Variable inpatient service Support Staff: APP coverage nighttime Hospitalist coverage with Nocturnist Physician. Current EHR: Cerner Expected skills/procedure: Adult Inpatient w/o ICU/CCU Rates to Submit:

• Malpractice - included in the rates
• Orientation - 1/2 of hourly rate
• Hourly
• Holiday (hourly)
• Overtime
• Conversion fee

Reverse invoicing - Provider must uses DocTime as of 7/1 to clock in and clock out. Do NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees. No lodging booked through 3rd party websites, ie expedia, kayak, etc. McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging. Expenses covered by client will not exceed the limitations listed in the Travel & Expense policy between McLaren Health Care & AHSA. Requirement description: ALL MUST BE NOTED ALL TIME OF NAME CLEAR

• Must be certified in NP Hospitalist - [REQUIRED]
• Must have active MI license - [REQUIRED]
• Must reside in Michigan or near Michigan drive in only - no flights [REQUIRED]
• Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month) [REQUIRED] at time of presentation.
• Submit rates at the time of name clear - [REQUIRED]

Employee Health Requirements:

• Flu vaccine for 24-25 season
• Covid documentation - If 24-25 booster has not been received a declination is needed
• TB - 2 step skin test within 12 months or Quantiferon within the last 6 months
• TB Questionnaire
• Hep B - titer with quantifiable numbers or declination
• MMR - vaccine series or titers with quantifiable numbers
• Varicella - vaccine series or titers with quantifiable numbers
