Description Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the Emory University Department of Pediatrics are seeking a board‑certified, academic pediatric endocrinologist to join our large and rapidly growing endocrinology group. The successful candidate will perform a combination of administrative, academic, and clinical activities, with proportions depending on the applicant’s interests, experience, and expertise. Our Division of Pediatric Endocrinology comprises 23 pediatric endocrinologists, 2 psychologists, 20+ certified diabetes educators, 3 social workers, and a team of 32 administrative and nursing support personnel. Up to six pediatric endocrinology fellows participate in both clinical and academic activities. Emory University is ranked 3rd nationally for NIH funding for pediatric departments. Laboratory space and extensive core lab services are available for clinical and research work. We provide comprehensive tertiary care to children with diabetes and endocrine diseases, with over 30,000 inpatient and outpatient visits per year across 9 sites. Specialized clinics include Turner Syndrome, 22q Deletion Syndrome, metabolic bone disease, hyperlipidemia, brain tumor, thyroid cancer, cancer survivorship, cystic fibrosis‑related diabetes, and post‑transplant diabetes. Experience No minimum experience required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the respective clinical area. Education Graduate of an accredited, four‑year medical school. Graduate of an accredited post‑graduate residency program in Pediatrics. Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Endocrinology. Certification Summary Board‑Certified/Board‑Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology. Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in the state of Georgia. BLS or PALS certification required. Current DEA registration. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member. Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Professional Staff. Demonstrates personal organization and time management, human relations and teamwork, personal adaptability, personal motivation, and listening skills.
