Job Title: Medical Equipment Driver & Customer Service Tech - WY (Cheyenne)
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Cheyenne, WY (onsite)
Contract Duration: PERM
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

SCHEDULE & COVERAGE

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Full time position combining medical equipment delivery, patient education, and customer service

 

Coverage Area

• Approximately 100 mile radius surrounding Cheyenne, Wyoming
• Daily travel to patient homes and healthcare facilities throughout the assigned territory

 

On Call Expectations

• Required on call rotation every 3 to 4 weeks
• Respond to after hours equipment deliveries and patient needs as assigned

 

LOCATION REQUIREMENT

• Candidates should reside within 30 miles of Cheyenne, Wyoming

 

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Company vehicle used for most deliveries
• Personal vehicle may occasionally be required with mileage reimbursement provided

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Healthcare experience preferred
• General delivery or route driving experience preferred
• Customer service or home equipment setup experience strongly preferred
• Medical equipment or DME experience is a plus

OVERVIEW
This role combines customer service, logistics, medical equipment delivery, and patient education into one rewarding career. You will serve as the face by delivering life enhancing medical equipment, ensuring patients understand how to safely use it, and providing exceptional customer service both in the field and in the branch.

• Deliver, set up, maintain, and retrieve home medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and supplies
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe operation, maintenance, and proper use of medical equipment
• Complete delivery paperwork, work orders, manifests, route sheets, invoices, and patient documentation accurately
• Coordinate deliveries with branch personnel to ensure timely patient service
• Assist with intake responsibilities including answering phones, receiving referrals, insurance verification, entering patient information, printing tickets, and preparing patient charts
• Prepare documentation for billing, sales representatives, and referral tracking
• Respond professionally to walk in patients, caregivers, and referral sources
• Monitor office supplies and assist with daily branch operations
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in a clean, safe, and professional condition
• Observe additional patient needs and communicate them to the clinical and sales teams
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents in accordance with company policies
• Participate in on call rotations and support after hours patient needs as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred

• Healthcare experience
• Medical equipment or DME experience
• One year of delivery, customer service, or logistics experience
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Email and electronic documentation systems
• Internet navigation and research
• Standard office equipment including phones, printers, scanners, and tablets
• Mechanical ability to troubleshoot, load, unload, and safely transport medical equipment
• Knowledge of proper cargo securement procedures and home respiratory equipment preferred

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, carry, and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and driving throughout the workday
• Close visual acuity for paperwork, tablets, and equipment
• Regular exposure to patient environments and contagious pathogens
• Must comply with Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy, including annual recertification
